Container Recycling Stickers
Container Recycling Sticker
Question: What are container recycling stickers?
Answer: This is where we use decals to label bins for solid materials versus those materials that are soft or fibrous.
An integral part of any recycling program, container recycling includes anything that once contained something like a bottles and cans, a jar, jug or tub. A container recycling sticker might call out specific containers for instance soup, milk, soda, beer, liquid laundry detergent or sour cream. Each of the following are examples of containers.
- Plastic bottles or tubs
- Glass bottles and jars
- aluminum cans
- steel food cans
On the other hand, fibers might be the other stream in a dual stream recycling collection. For example paper products and corrugated cardboard are not considered containers because they are made of of fibers. Some recyclers use this dual stream recycling method to cut down on sorting. When it is either hard containers like bottles and cans or soft fibers like paper and cardboard, you only need two labels: container recycling stickers and decals for recycling fibers.
